Day 1｜12:00 p.m. Riyue Old Tea Factory／Sun Moon Old Tea Factory
Learn the history and process of black tea After seeing the real tea trees and gardens, let’s learn more about the history and process of Sun Moon Lake Yuchi black tea. Sun Moon Old Tea Factory is a comfortable place to guide you.
It preserves the space of a professional tea factory from the past. You can see the steps of tea making and understand how the water, earch, wind, and fire created the unique flavor of Sun Moon Lake Yuchi black tea.
Day 1｜15:00 p.m. Canlive House in Sun Moon Lake
After learning about the tea industry and tasting a pot of tea, you may want to immerse yourself in the tea aroma. Why not stay for a night?
Xiao Li, the tea master, welcomes you to her home in Yuchi Village. It is a simple and cozy house space with tea specimens on the wall. She only hosts one group of guests at a time, up to six people. You can enjoy a tea-themed stay, with afternoon tea, tea oil fragrance, black tea foot bath (summer only), tea bath products, and private kitchen tea soup breakfast. Everything is made with tea-related items.
If you meet Xiao Li, you can ask her about Sun Moon Lake black tea. She will not bore you with technical terms, but encourage you to enjoy tea and find your own preference. She will also share with you the tea making process and the origin of the tea.
Day 2｜12:00 p.m. Sunmoon Crop Cafe
Let’s go to taste a pot of Sun Moon Lake Yuchi black tea! Over the edge of Yuchi Village and find a red brick old house with coffee and tea aroma. It is called Sunmoon Crop Cafe. It serves hand-picked old ruby black tea, coffee, and sweets.
It feels like visiting a friend’s house. The host will make tea for you and chat with you about the latest tea news. In the nostalgic space with light and shadow, enjoy a pot of hot or cold brewed hand-picked ruby tea, or try the rich fruit flavor of the nearly 40-year-old tea tree. Don’t worry, the hospitable hostess will make another pot for you if you want more.
Day 2｜15:00 p.m. HOHOCHA Tea Park
A Black Tea Museum and Shop This is a place where you can learn and buy Sun Moon Lake black tea. You can taste different types of black tea, such as No. 8 Assam, No. 18 Ruby, and No. 21 Red Rhythm.
You can also buy various black tea products, such as tea leaves, tea bags, noodles, rice, biscuits, egg rolls, plums, and more. With a ticket, you can also exchange for a free “tea and egg” experience, where you can sit and relax in the tea space and reflect on your favorite flavor.
