7:30 a.m. Baishawei Pier

Baishawei Pier is your first stop on Xiao Liuqiu. It’s where the island vibes kick in. Rent a scooter or e-bike right here and start exploring. The ferry from Pingtung is quick and costs TWD$400 round-trip. Weekends get crowded, so book early!

 

8:30 a.m. Awei’s E-Bikes

Grab an e-bike from Awei’s and zip around the island with ease. They’re quiet, eco-friendly, and perfect for a leisurely tour. No license? No problem. You can rent without one.

Pricing: TWD $300 for one day, TWD $400 for an overnight stay (24 hours), and TWD $800 for a two-night stay (48 hours). No driver’s license needed to rent.

 

9:00 a.m. Vase Rock

Check out Vase Rock, the island’s iconic spot and resembles a flower vase, hence its name. It stands about 9 meters tall and is adorned with green grass, making it look like a giant vase in the middle of the sea. A coral beauty standing tall in the sea, great for diving or just chilling on the nearby beach.

 

9:30 a.m. Beauty Cave

Don’t miss Beauty Cave, with its stunning trails and caves. The cave area offers visitors the chance to explore lush jungles and centuries-old caves on land. It’s a slice of paradise where you can spot sea turtles and soak in the island’s tranquil blues and greens.

 

10:30 a.m. Xiao Liuqiu 369 Snorkeling Shop

Dive into Xiao Liuqiu’s waters with activities like snorkeling and diving. Pick eco-friendly shops that protect the sea life. Keep an eye out for clean beaches and turtle-friendly practices.

Snorkel Trip: TWD 350 for about an hour

Scuba Dive: TWD 2000-2500 for a couple of hours

Kayak Ride: TWD 600-1500 for up to two hours

SUP Boarding: TWD 1190-2000 for 1.5 to 2 hours

 

13:00 p.m. Forty Sushi

Forty Sushi is a popular sushi restaurant on Xiao Liuqiu. The shop is bright and welcoming, serving fresh sashimi bowls, sushi, grilled items, rolls, and unique dishes like ice plum yam noodles and steamed egg custard. They also serve Japanese sake and beer. The seafood bowl is affordable and delicious. You can dine in or get takeout.

 

14:00 p.m. Lobster Cave

Lobster Cave, shaped by sea erosion, features coral rocks, potholes, and grooves. It used to be a lobster-catching spot. Now, it attracts visitors with its unique landscape. Standing on the rocks, you can gaze at the endless sea and families of wild sea turtles. Whether it’s high or low tide, you might get a chance to see turtles up close!

Reminder: The gaps between the coral rocks vary in size and depth. When walking, keep your center of gravity low, avoid running or playing around, and watch your step to prevent injuries.

 

15:00 p.m. Seaside Cafe X Sea Turtle Egg Cake

This tiny cafe serves coffee and limited daily batches of turtle-shaped egg cakes. The shop features floor seating, a selection of books on local culture, environmentalism, and yoga, and becomes a local hangout spot during tea time. It’s a cozy spot where locals gather, chat, and enjoy island life.

 

17:00 p.m. Geban Bay(Venice Beach)

Known as “Venice Beach,” Geban Bay has soft, white sand and crystal-clear water. It’s perfect for swimming, strolling, and sunset-watching. The transition from day to dusk is beautiful.

Reminder: According to Pingtung County’s conservation measures, Geban Bay Beach and its intertidal zone are designated as a green turtle sanctuary and a fishery resource conservation area. From May 1st to October 31st each year, the beach and intertidal zone are closed to the public from 8 PM to 5 AM to protect nesting turtles. Violators will be penalized.

 

18:30 p.m. Lixia Hostel

Lixia Hostel offers comfort and style, making it a great choice for your stay on the island! Inside, you’ll find potted herbs and colorful paintings. The ground floor is a coffee shop, and the second floor has boutique backpacker rooms—a six-person female dorm and an eight-person mixed dorm. On the third floor, there are two independent suites—a double room and a four-person room.
